Samsung Galaxy S

Now that Nokia is on the downfall, and I have also had a few personal "experiences" with the maker, it was time I thought about moving on with another maker that was leading in the world of Mobile/Hand held devices. This is when I started to look for another companies, & after an extensive research, I found the Samsung Galaxy S! During this time, the iPhone 4 was about to be launched & the hipe was all over about its launch in India.. But as usual, the iPhone again had mixed reviews & didn't work very well in the Indian market. Leave alone its extravagant price that is always off the roofs, it had many glitches that made the users not go in for it!

They worked it all out, but in the mean time, the Galaxy S was launched as the 'iPhone Killer' and it captured a massive part of the market. Many other companies also launched the so called 'iPhone Killer' phones, but some how failed to capture the attention of the market..

The Galaxy S is a copy of the iPhone to some extent, but has a totally different OS, running Android 2.1 unlike the iPhone 4. The users of the iPhone are also of the opinion that the iPhone 3G n 3GS were better than the 4!!

The looks and the feel of the iPhone are amazing, but the Galaxy S is not far behind!!

Having personally used the Galaxy S, i feel its not a bad deal at all! It has everything that one can expect from a hand held device - the power to do almost everything!!

The Android Market is something that is easily accessed from the device and downloading the required applications from it are as just as easy!!

Another advantage of having an Android device is that there are just too many applications that are available online on various sites, or also in the torrent forms.. All it needs is googling!!

There are too many postings online talking about the superiority of the Galaxy S, and now also the Galaxy tab against the iPhone 4 and iPad respectively.. In my opinion, both are in their own place and are worth for what they are made!!

If the iPhone plays iTunes, the Galaxy S plays mp3 in 5.1 ch output!!

All in all the Galaxy S is a good buy and id totally worth the price!!

As an Android user, I would recommend the following 'must have' applications:

1. iSilo (book reader that reads books in .pdb format)

2. iTriage (a simple medical software that tells you everything about diseases that you need to know)

3. Epocrates (again a medical software that is continuously updated with the latest treatment of various diseases and has various calculators within it!)

4. SWYPE (this is only for the people not using Galaxy S - its is a software that is meant for typing effortlessly and in full speed! watch it on youtube.com)
